Are you a sea lover? Do you enjoy being out in the open, smelling the fresh sea air until you have feeling your lungs are overflowing? Ad a pinch of excitement to that and there's a recipe for a great day outdoors!
Join us at Zadar Outdoor sailing regatta, organized by Sailing club Uskok, organizers of numerous European and World championships of olympic and non-olympic classes, and experience sailor's most exciting day first hand departing from a spot that promises to offer you spectacular views!
After gathering of all the participants of the regatta and transferring them on boats we’re heading for the Zadar waterfront, where start of the regatta is scheduled for 10:30. The route will take us through the Zadar Channel, depending on the wind which will be favorable to us. Route will offer you the pleasure of views of the islands of Ugljan, Pasman and Zadar and the surrounding picturesque villages.
After sailing boats come to a certain point they will head back toward the waterfront, passing by the world-famous Sea Organ and Greeting to the Sun. Each boat having crossed the finish line will disembark its crew at Uskok so they can be present at announcement of the wining crew.
Prize is awarded to those who first pass the finish line.
* When filling out the application indicate the name of the person with whom you want to be in the boat, otherwise you will get a partner chosen randomly by the organizers
Regatta is suitable for novice sailors (amateurs), no experience needed, each boat has its skipper.
Individual bookings are welcome!
Regatta takes about 3 hours each day, depending on the strentgh and regime of the wind.
Our Info Point is located on Main People's Square, behind the Caffe bar Lovre. Info Point is open 10.05. from 14:00 until 20:00 h, and in period 11.-13.05. from 08:00 until 20:00 h.
At Info Point you can pick up your starting packages, as well as get any additional info you may need.
